Stateline Fire Lookout Trail
Project Partners: US Forest Service – Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit
Fundraising Goal: $40,000
The Stateline Fire Lookout Trail in Crystal Bay offers beautiful panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. Named for its location – straddling the Nevada-California line – this trail has benches for hikers to rest and enjoy the scenery and interpretive panels that tell the history of the lake.
These interpretive panels were installed in 1996 and have not been updated in over 20 years. They have fallen into disrepair and many are completely unreadable now. With your support, the Tahoe Fund will work together with the US Forest Service – Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit to create and install new signs.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Spence and Wylie Families, we are installing 11 new interpretive panels and a kiosk on the Stateline Fire Lookout Trail.
